Board of Directors ...
To preserve the idea of a Newcomers Club, members may not serve as an
elected officer or chair a standing committee after their fifth year of
membership. An exception to this restriction is that the President may
not serve after his/her sixth year of membership.
The Executive Board, composed of the elected officers, is the
governing body of the Club. The Board of Directors consists of the
elected officers, appointed committee chairs, and appointed
Parliamentarian. Elected board positions include: President, First Vice President, Second
Vice President, Secretary, Membership Director, Treasurer, and Activities
Director.
Appointed Committees are: Historian, Hospitality, Membership
Assistant, Newsletter, Publicity/Referral, Reservations, Corresponding
Secretary, Ways and Means, and Roster. Special Events committees are Fashion
Show, Activities Showcase, Health Education Fair and Connecting With The
Community.
Elections are held at the
October general meeting with
installation of new officers held at the annual meeting in December. A
Nominating Committee will submit a slate of officers at the
October
meeting and nominations can be accepted from the floor.
